We are currently seeking to fill the following vacancies on our team:
student ministries pastor (volunteer)
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Student Ministries Pastor (SMP) will be responsible for establishing and leading a thriving ministry to and for middle and high school students (7th - 12th grade), and providing general oversight for the Young Adult Ministry. This will include, but not be limited to, mid-week gatherings, Sunday morning small groups, age-appropriate LifeGroups, and seasonal activities and events such as fall retreat, summer camp, Christmas party, etc.
The SMP will also be responsible for recruiting and maintaining volunteer teams to assist in the execution of the above services and activities in addition to mentoring students as needed and appropriate.
The SMP will also work closely with our Children’s Pastor to develop and implement an effective transitional process for students leaving Children’s Ministry and entering Student Ministries.
The SMP will report directly to our Lead Pastor.
After several recent transitions in leadership and a large number of our high school students graduating, our middle and high school ministry is primed for new leadership with a fresh vision and direction for a new group of younger students.
The Young Adult Ministry is the newest addition to our ministry line-up and functioned as a LifeGroup or Sunday morning small group prior to COVID-19.
The Student Ministries Pastor is currently a volunteer position, although it is our desire to increase this position to paid staff as church growth and finances permit.
While not required, additional skills, abilities, or experience related to worship, social media, and/or food pantry/grocery management may be beneficial.
